Two of New Zealand’s regional airlines have received NZ$22 million in government support as soaring fuel costs threaten their viability. However, the NZ Airports Association has warned that jet fuel bills have doubled since the support package was first proposed, raising questions about whether the funding will be sufficient to keep critical regional air links alive.
