A Belgian court has convicted a 25-year-old former daycare worker and her 41-year-old former partner of sexually abusing toddlers aged 18 to 36 months at a Brussels-area nursery between 2020 and 2022. The woman received a 10-year prison sentence; the man was sentenced to 12 years. Both were found guilty of rape, sexual assault on minors, and possession and distribution of child pornography — a case that has shocked the country.
