In Brief: Brazil, Mystikal Sentencing, and More

In Brazil, the Attorney General’s office (PGR) asked the Supreme Court to reject former President Jair Bolsonaro’s bid for a criminal review, defending his conviction for an attempted coup. Separately, rapper Mystikal was sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to third-degree rape charges in Louisiana — a case first reported in March. And in Sydney, the sacked CEO of Parramatta Council, Gail Connolly, faced cross-examination in the final day of ICAC’s Operation Navarra hearing.
