In a story straddling Brazilian and American politics, supporters of former President Jair Bolsonaro celebrated the release of ex-congressman Alexandre Ramagem after he was briefly detained by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Orlando. Ramagem has been a fugitive since his conviction for involvement in an alleged coup plot last year. Bolsonarista allies attributed his release to the Trump administration, with pro-Bolsonaro blogger Paulo Figueiredo publicly thanking Trump. Ramagem was reportedly released without bail.
