In a brighter development, Pakistan completed a landmark 5G spectrum auction, selling 480 MHz across three operators — Zong, Jazz, and Ufone — for $507 million. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif hailed the sale as a “wonderful beginning” and a milestone for the nation’s industrial, agricultural, and technological future. Jazz acquired the largest share at 190 MHz, followed by Ufone at 180 MHz and Zong at 110 MHz.
