In the NRL, veteran coach Shane Flanagan has been shown the door by the St George Illawarra Dragons after a horror start to the 2026 season. An 0-7 record left the club at the bottom of the table and the board with little choice. The decision ends Flanagan’s second stint as an NRL head coach and opens up one of the most storied positions in Australian rugby league.
