Trump’s Explosive Ultimatum

Easter Sunday 2026 will not be remembered for its message of resurrection and renewal. Instead, it was dominated by an extraordinary outburst from President Donald Trump, who took to social media to deliver one of the most incendiary presidential statements in modern history.

“Open the Fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell,” Trump wrote, directing his fury at Iran’s government over its continued closure of the Strait of Hormuz — the narrow waterway through which roughly a fifth of the world’s oil supply flows. He signed off with “Praise to be Allah,” a taunt that drew immediate condemnation from religious leaders and politicians alike.

The tirade didn’t stop there. According to Le Monde, Trump extended his ultimatum to Tehran until Tuesday evening, warning: “You are going to see bridges and power plants collapse across the entire country.” Earlier in the day, he told reporters he saw it as “possible” to reach a deal with Iran as early as Monday — a dizzying juxtaposition of diplomacy and destruction that has become a hallmark of the crisis.

Iran hit back with defiance. An Iranian official dismissed Trump’s language as the product of “absolute desperation and anger,” while Tehran made clear its conditions for reopening the Strait: war reparations from the United States. “Only then will we open the Strait,” the official stated, according to Greek outlet Ethnos.
