Victor Willis, the original lead singer of the Village People and the voice behind global anthems like “Y.M.C.A.” and “Macho Man,” died at the age of 74. Willis, who wore the group’s iconic police officer costume, was instrumental in shaping one of the most recognizable acts in pop music history.
