Pakistan Expects US-Iran Agreement “Sooner Rather Than Later”

In a notable development on the geopolitical front, Pakistan’s Foreign Office signaled optimism about an emerging deal between Washington and Tehran. Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi told reporters that Islamabad “would welcome a settlement between Iran and the US wherever it may be reached,” adding: “If an agreement is reached in Pakistan, it would be an honour for us.”

The remarks came after reports that Tehran was reviewing a fresh proposal from Washington. The prospect of a U.S.-Iran agreement could reshape the strategic landscape of the Middle East and Central Asia — and Pakistan appears eager to position itself as a willing host for any final negotiations.
