Trump Marks Independence Day with Divisive Speech and an AI-Generated Monument

Donald Trump celebrated the Fourth of July in characteristically provocative fashion — twice over. First, the U.S. president published a short AI-generated video depicting himself as a golden addition to Mount Rushmore, seated among George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt. The clip was posted to social media ahead of a scheduled address at the real monument in South Dakota.

Then came the speech itself, described by Greek outlet Ethnos as “extremely divisive.” Trump took aim at communists, immigrants, and political opponents, declaring that “communism is death, tyranny, and the enemy of America” — even invoking Karl Marx by name. The performance was vintage Trump: part rally, part culture war, staged against one of America’s most iconic backdrops. The AI video, meanwhile, drew both ridicule and fascination — another entry in the president’s growing portfolio of digitally manipulated self-promotion.
