On Saturday, Donald Trump threatened to send Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to US airports on Monday if Democrats do not agree to measures bolstering security and immigration enforcement, following the repeated failure of a Department of Homeland Security funding bill in the Senate.
“If the Radical Left Democrats don’t immediately sign an agreement to let our Country, in particular, our Airports, be FREE and SAFE again, I will move our brilliant and patriotic ICE Agents to the Airports,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. The standoff signals yet another escalation in the bitter partisan fight over immigration policy.
