In one of the day’s most bizarre stories, two people climbed the needle of the Empire State Building, unfurled a large black flag, and apparently posted the stunt to Instagram. Video from the scene appears to show one person proposing to the other atop one of New York’s most iconic landmarks. The New York Times reported the incident, though details about the climbers’ identities and how they evaded security remained unclear.
