Palantir Posts Blowout Quarter, Riding the AI Wave

Palantir Technologies reported first-quarter results that blew past Wall Street expectations, cementing its position as one of the biggest corporate beneficiaries of the AI boom. Revenue surged 85% year on year to $1.63 billion, with U.S. revenue alone jumping 104% to $1.28 billion. The company’s U.S. commercial business grew 133%, while government revenue climbed 84%.

CEO Alex Karp, who has increasingly positioned the surveillance-and-analytics firm as an indispensable player on the AI “battlefield,” raised full-year guidance to as much as $7.66 billion in revenue — implying roughly 71% annual growth. Karp cast the company as “sentinels of the inner sanctum, against the assault of AI slop,” a characteristically dramatic framing that underscores how central AI has become to Palantir’s pitch to both Pentagon and private-sector clients.
